Is your Step One needing help determining if your child has developmental trauma? There are other circumstances in which developmental trauma can occur in children without a history of adoption, abuse, and neglect. We sometimes see the same affects from other circumstances such as multiples within the same pregnancy/birth, children with chronic medical needs, babies that come from long NICU/PICU stays, children that experience the loss of a primary care giver, and/or other traumatic situations.
